Graduation Certificate

Students will earn a certificate for completing the Interactive Media 2-year program. The certificate will resemble their regular high school diploma. This certificate will validate that the student completed the entire Interactive Media career technical program and will have relevance in future college and career pathways.

Graduation Certificate and Program Attendance

Students must complete the program with a high level of attendance in order to receive their certificate. A student is only allowed 18 total absences for the entire 2 year program in order to receive the highest level certificate. If a student's attendance goes beyond 18 absences, they will receive a second certifcate that has a lower level of accomplishment. The two certificates are described as follows:

Certificate of COMPLETION: under 18 absences
Certificate of PARTICIPATION: over 18 absencs

Competency Profile

Students will also receive a Competency Profile upon graduation. This profile is based on an assessment made by the Interactive Media teacher for all skills or competencies taught to the student. The Competency Profile will list each skill learned during the Excel TECC Interactive Media program. It will then show the rating given by the teacher to the student based on demonstrated competency by the student.

Other Graduation Materials

Students will have additional materials that will prepare them for college and a career. These may include:

  • College Articulation Agreements
  • College Scholarships
  • Portfolio
  • Resume showing real work experience
